American Associated Pharmacies Names InStockRx Preferred Partner to Power AAP/InStockRx Marketplace

AAP members can use the private marketplace to turn overstock into cash, source hard-to-find medications, and trade directly with verified pharmacy peers.

New Egypt, N.J., Oct. 30, 2026. InStockRx announced a preferred partnership with American Associated Pharmacies (AAP), a member-controlled independent pharmacy cooperative built to strengthen profitability, purchasing, and operations for community pharmacies.

Through the partnership, InStockRx powers the AAP/InStockRx Marketplace, a private marketplace exclusively for AAP members. The marketplace gives licensed U.S. pharmacies a direct way to buy and sell prescription medications with one another, with visibility between listing and buying pharmacies and no broker in the middle.

AAP supports independent pharmacies through cooperative purchasing, rebates, supply access, data tools, Preferred Partner programs, and resources designed to strengthen pharmacy operations. InStockRx adds a practical inventory resource to that member advantage by giving pharmacies a trusted channel to act on overstock, recover value from inventory they cannot dispense, and source hard-to-find brand and specialty medications from verified pharmacy peers.

"As an AAP Preferred Partner, InStockRx is proud to power the AAP/InStockRx Marketplace and support independent pharmacies with a direct, pharmacy-to-pharmacy trading resource. AAP members understand the importance of stronger purchasing, smarter operations, and trusted pharmacy relationships. The AAP/InStockRx Marketplace brings those priorities together around inventory."

Mac Dougherty, CEO, InStockRx

For AAP members, the marketplace creates another way to keep valuable medication in use. Sellers can list surplus or overstock inventory and receive offers from verified pharmacies. Buyers can search available inventory from pharmacy peers when products are difficult to source through traditional channels.

AAP members can join InStockRx with no monthly fee. Sellers pay a fee only when an item sells. Every trade carries Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) transaction records: the transaction information and the seller's transaction statement, kept seven years, a year longer than DSCSA's six.

AAP members will also have access to InStockRx's Pharmacy Concierge support for onboarding, inventory listing, sourcing requests, and pricing reviews.
